About Free Explorations

The team at Self Care Connections recommends the following “Free Explorations” for you to consider as you add to your Self Care “toolbox.”  Enjoy exploring laughter, qigong, meditation, and yoga.  We appreciate these leaders who share their knowledge and wisdom to us and to the world. These programs are free, but know that you can contact the individual leaders when you have questions, to inquire about additional offerings, or if you’d like to contribute to their work in some way.  

Free Morning Laughter Yoga Monday-Saturday (10 am CT) via
Zoom, 10-15 minutes (Joan)

Join JoyFull Laughers, led by Joan, for 10-15 minutes of intentional laughter/laughter yoga Monday – Saturday at 8 am PT | 9 am MT | 10 am CT  | 11 am ET.  No experience necessary, and it’s free!  

During our time together, we use simple, playful exercises to spark our imaginations and invite deep breathing. You may find yourself “laughing for real,” having fun, and enjoying all the wonderful health benefits that laughter brings.  And if you prefer, it’s perfectly fine to simply listen to the laughter!  And we’ll also enjoy some gentle, deep breaths.  At the end of practice, we often laugh for a minute or two for world peace and then have some moments of silence to “let the laughter settle in.”

Note: Laughter Yoga is also known as Intentional Laughter. No pretzel-like poses here!  We can stand or sit, and we simply laugh and breathe.  “We inhale and then we exhale, and if we choose, we allow a ha ha ha to come out of our mouths!”   Video and sound can be on or off–your choice.

Free Saturday Morning Meditation (10:30 am CT) via Zoom, 15-30 minutes (Maureen)

Maureen leads a free 15-30 minute meditation, depending on what she has planned, on Saturdays at 7:30 am PT/ 8:30 am MT/ 9:30 CT/10:30 ET.    She may share breathing techniques, a guided meditation, or other “tools” from her many years of studying meditation, yoga . . . and life!  You may experience Chakra balancing, the inner child, detox, or other amazing meditations and readings.   Maureen also offers yoga classes via Zoom and in person in Central Wisconsin.
